Make it Modern Pillows with RBD - Twin Spin April 2024

Welcome to the March 2024 installment of the Make it Modern pillow series that I created for Riley Blake Designs! In this series, you'll find a collection of 18" modern pillows with a bold modern geometric design that you can easily customize for any space.

Find some quilting inspiration with this fun and fresh modern quilt block tutorial! Grab your favorite quilting fabric and thread to whip up your own quilted pillow to enjoy at home or give as a gift. Great for both experienced and beginning quilters, this quilt project will quickly jump on your to-do list!

Last month's block HST units to create diamonds for a minimalistic argyle pattern. It featured Dainty Daisy by Beverly McCullough. The colors I used were Peony, Lipstick, Alpine, and Mint.

For this month's block, I used small pairs of rectangles that spin around each other. I call it Twin Spin.

This pillow features the Riley Blake basics collection Bee Cross Stitch by Lori Holt. The colors I used were Cayenne, Coral, Butterscotch, Pumpkin, Plum, and Taffy.

And of course I did a classic grid at 1/2" with 50wt white Aurifil thread.
