Pinwheel blocks

I've been an ADD sewist lately and obsessed with quilting. I've done a few quilts in the past but nothing more elaborate than squares and bricks. I saw this post by Pat Sloan and totally wanted to make one of these blocks.

But when it came down to it, I just couldn't decide what fabrics to use...especially for the middle section. So, I had several of these half square triangle blocks and decided to do a pinwheel quilt instead. So here are my first 4 blocks.

I'm going to use yellow to do the next set of blocks. Then who knows! I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I have a friend having a baby this month, but I'm not sure if I'm going to do another project for her yet.

I'm posting this to A Lovely Year of Finishes over at Fiber of All Sorts. I'm determined to get this project done in September...quilting and all!

Until later, happy sewing!
Jamie

  1. Excellent pinwheels Jamie - they aren't the easiest block for a new quilter either.
